AN OLD SOUL
THE NOTION OF AN “OLD SOUL” CAN BE SECULAR (I.E. SOMEONE UNUSUALLY GROUNDED FOR THEIR AGE) OR SPIRITUAL (I.E. SOMEONE RETAINING WISDOM FROM A PAST LIFE).
The authors of this blog — Parsec and Buzz — have at some point in their lives been recognized as Old Souls. They did not seek out this label, nor do they believe they are superior individuals. They have simply come to recognize that they are different in many ways from their peers without explicitly trying to be. Perhaps they truly are Old Souls.
Parsec and Buzz are unrelated and significantly different from each other in many ways. For one thing, there is a 20 year age gap between them. Parsec is married with two children while Buzz is a teenager in high school. Despite these notable differences, can being an Old Soul impart a meaningful connection between the two?
Society is arguably becoming more polarized due to extreme beliefs, political views, terrorism, as well as both social and economic inequality. Can Old Souls come together to change perceptions? Can Old Souls bridge the divide?
Together, the Old Souls share stories, advice and explore societal issues that are often controversial and uncomfortable for many. Parsec, Buzz, and the Guest Souls share their opinions and experiences while engaging in a healthy debate between each other and any interested readers.
